One of the Many Reasons I Love My Husband

The other evening I was coming home from work, and I saw a familiar figure standing on the side of Marin with an offleash dog. He was wearing an abnormally long t shirt and carrying a branch of cherry blossoms in his hand. Although I doubt that this is the best way to foster good neighbor relations, it is sweet nonetheless. Just one of the many reasons, yes . . .

My Idea of a Good Afternoon

. . . A five mile hike with a horse and a dog and a husband. Peter would rather be skiing, but he tolerated it, and promised he'd do this once a month (yes!). Soon I'll be able to ride Henry more, and I may just start riding him bareback, too, out on the trail. His saddle will be done in another month, though. Not much longer to wait . . . .

(Cr)aftermath

Yay! First ladies craft night! It was much fun. I hope that we can continue having a monthly craft night.

In attendance: Karen, Elly, Leanne, Laurel, Hyland, Rebecca, Kelly, and (making a brief but much appreciated appearance) Wendy

What we did: We ate delicious foodstuffs and chatted and drank wine. There was some crafting: attempts to create an a-line skirt; knitting, yarn wrangling, jewelry making, secret Hyland project (hmmmm....curious!), Etsy updating, book persual....

Prognosis: Excellent! I hope that this can be a monthly event! Laurel had a great suggestion for group projects in the future (perhaps some Amy Butler dewdrop cushions). We may also do a talent/supply exchange in the future.

Thanks so much to the ladies for coming out tonight. I love to see crafty people sharing their talents and tools and bright personalities. Here's hoping for more crafting fun in the future!
